SRINAGAR, Sept. 21 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government is considering four major road infrastructure projects worth Rs.323.41 crore to decongest Sopore town and improve connectivity on key routes, including roads serving the Sopore Fruit Mandi.
Replying to a question by MLA Sopore Irshad Rasool Kar during Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary said the projects had been formulated on the recommendations of the legislator and the government was exploring funding avenues under relevant schemes.
He informed the House that the proposed projects include widening and upgradation of the Sopore-Mazbugh-Ladoora road at an estimated cost of Rs.249.52 crore, upgradation of the Sofi Akbar-Chankhan ro...
