Srinagar, June 2 -- Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports, and Science & Technology, Satish Sharma, today said that the government is creating new opportunities in the tourism sector and positioning Jammu and Kashmir as a major destination for investment, entrepreneurship and employment despite geographical and climatic challenges.

Addressing participants at the Jammu Kashmir Business Conclave 2026, the Minister said the government is committed to transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a vibrant hub of tourism-led economic growth by creating a conducive environment for businesses, startups and local entrepreneurs.
