Srinagar, April 14 -- Police on Sunday arrested four alleged drug peddlers in Pulwama and Sopore and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police spokesman said that during checking at Kandizal near the NH-44 underpass in Pulwama, police intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02DA-4166 with two persons on board.
The accused were identified as Liyaqat Ali and Amanat Ali, both residents of Nagrota.
Police said 533 grams of poppy straw and 20 cannabis sticks weighing around 735 grams were recovered from their possession, following which both were arrested.
