Forward report on major building violations in Gogji Bagh compounded for 'extraneous consideration': HC directs its Registry
Srinagar, Aug. 20 -- The High Court of J&K and Ladakh has directed the Registry to forward a vigilance report to the Chief Secretary for appropriate legal action against a former member of the J&K Special Tribunal after an inquiry found that 65 cases involving major building violations were compounded for extraneous consideration and in violation of law.
The direction was issued by a Division Bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice Mohammad Yousuf Wani while closing a Public Interest Litigation concerning alleged rampant violations of building by-laws in Gogji Bagh, Srinagar.
