SRINAGAR, March 25 -- J&K Forest Department launched the sale of conifer plants for the general public at Sheikhbagh Forest Complex, Srinagar today with an aim to enhance the tree cover outside forests, particularly in Urban and Peri-Urban areas of Kashmir Valley.
The initiative was formally inaugurated by Conservator of Forests, Srinagar Circle, Saurabh Sharma, in the presence of several forest officials, including Divisional Forest Officer, Urban Forestry Division, Srinagar, Dr Sheikh Mehraj.
