Srinagar, April 15 -- Sopore Police on Wednesday said that five more persons have been arrested in connection with the disruption of a recent student protest at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sopore, taking forward its ongoing crackdown against those allegedly involved in the disturbances.

According to police, the latest arrests were made during night-long raids conducted in different areas of Sopore. The arrested persons are accused of infiltrating what police described as a peaceful protest by students and creating law and order problems, including vandalism and damage to public property.
