SRINAGAR, June 20 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of the Crime Branch, Jammu and Kashmir, has booked five persons in connection with an alleged migrant land fraud case involving crores of rupees and conducted a house search in Budgam as part of the ongoing investigation.

According to officials, the search was carried out at Banit, Beerwah in Budgam district in connection with an FIR registered at Police Station EOW Kashmir under relevant provisions of law.

The case pertains to the alleged fraudulent sale of migrant land measuring 14 kanals and 3 marlas situated at Goshbugh Pattan in Baramulla district. Investigators said the land was allegedly sought to be sold through fake agreements, fraudulent means and a criminal conspir...
