Srinagar, July 22 -- The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department has decided to undertake advance lifting and distribution of foodgrains for August, September and October under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and Non-Priority Household (NPHH) schemes to ensure uninterrupted supply during the monsoon season.

According to the department, the advance distribution has been planned as a precautionary measure to address possible transportation and logistical disruptions caused by adverse weather.

The department has made advance allocation of foodgrains for the three months, enabling beneficiaries to collect their entitlement through a single transaction. The distribution exercise has been scheduled for completion by ...
