Srinagar, May 31 -- The Central Kashmir Excise Range intensified its crackdown on illicit cultivation of narcotic crops under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, destroying illegal poppy cultivation at multiple locations across the Srinagar-Budgam-Ganderbal Excise Range.

The operation was carried out jointly by the Excise Department, Police, Revenue Department and Agriculture Department as part of ongoing efforts to curb narcotic crop cultivation in the region.

Officials said all legal formalities, including seizure, sampling and destruction of the illicit crop, were completed on the spot during the drive.
