Srinagar, July 25 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Kashmir, of the Crime Branch has filed a chargesheet in a case involving an alleged fraudulent overseas job offer that led to a man being trafficked to Cambodia and forced into online scam activities.
The chargesheet in FIR No. 19/2026, registered under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), has been filed before the Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class against Mohd Yaseen Rather of Kripalpora Payeen, Pattan.
According to the Crime Branch, the case was registered following a complaint alleging that the accused promised the complainant a job as a computer operator in Cambodia with a monthly salary of Rs.90,000.
