Uri, May 21 -- Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Wednesday visited Kaman Post in Uri and reviewed facilities and tourism potential in the border area.

During the visit, the deputy chief minister interacted with senior Army officers and inspected the Kaman Learning Centre, library and auditorium facilities established at the post.

He appreciated the initiatives aimed at promoting awareness, education and tourism in the border region.

Speaking on the occasion, Surinder Choudhary said Kaman Post has immense significance as a major attraction for border tourism and stressed the need for strengthening tourism-related activities in the area for the economic benefit of local residents.
