Srinagar, Sept. 20 -- Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness largely dry weather till the end of September, with brief spells of rain expected at isolated places in North and Central Kashmir on September 24 and 27, the Meteorological Department said on Saturday.

According to the MeT Centre, weak Western Disturbances are likely to affect the region during the evenings of September 24 and 27, bringing light rainfall to isolated areas. No major weather activity has been forecast for the remainder of the month.

The department advised farmers to take advantage of the prevailing weather conditions for harvesting apples, paddy and carrying out other agricultural operations.
