Jammu, Aug. 14 -- Police have detained a drug peddler in Samba district and lodged him in Bhaderwah jail, officials said on Friday.
Police identified the accused as Omkar Bhagat alias Gusha, son of Raj Kumar, a resident of Hamirpur in Marheen tehsil of Kathua district.
Officials said Bhagat was involved in multiple cases registered under the NDPS Act at Police Station Ghagwal in Samba district and Police Station Rajbagh in Kathua district.
Police said due to his repeated involvement in illicit drug trafficking, they prepared and submitted a dossier and related documents to the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
