SRINAGAR, June 24 -- The Divisional Administration has finalised elaborate arrangements for the smooth and peaceful observance of Muharram processions, particularly ahead of the 8th Muharram.
Officials said the civil and police administration have put in place necessary measures to facilitate religious gatherings while ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order.
Senior officers from the administration, police, health, municipal services, fire and emergency services, power development, water supply and other departments have been assigned specific responsibilities for the implementation of arrangements.
