Srinagar, Nov. 4 -- Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Wednesday directed concerned departments to expedite the resolution of pending issues affecting the Jhelum Water Transport Project.

Chairing a high-level meeting, Garg reviewed bottlenecks requiring inter-departmental coordination for developing water transport facilities along the River Jhelum.

The meeting discussed road widening and tree removal at Gund Parang, disposal of treated wastewater, and provision of electricity connections and water supply at eight identified locations.
