SRINAGAR, May 8 -- Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations Jammu and Kashmir Shreya Singhal on Thursday reviewed the functioning and performance of District Information Centres (DICs) across the Kashmir division and stressed the need for strengthening grassroots public outreach.

The review meeting also assessed activities being carried out by the department under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan.

Addressing officers during the meeting, Shreya Singhal said District Information Centres play a vital role in disseminating government policies, welfare schemes and developmental initiatives among the public in an effective and timely manner.
