SRINAGAR, Aug. 16 -- Syed Shakeel Andrabi, popularly known as Syed Shakeel Shan, Assistant Exhibition and Cultural Officer (AECO) in the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), was conferred with an Award of Excellence by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during the 80th Independence Day celebrations at Bakhshi Stadium here.

The award was presented in recognition of Shan's contributions to broadcasting, literature, culture and public communication.
