Jammu, March 25 -- The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Shiv Kumar Sharma, on Tuesday undertook a comprehensive visit to the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district and reviewed the security situation and operational preparedness of police forces in the region.
The DIG of Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) range visited the sensitive areas in the region along with Senior Superintendent of Police Kathua Mohita Sharma, SP Operations of Kandi and Border Mukund and other officers, officials said.
During the visit, Sharma held a detailed security review and interacted with police personnel and village defence guard (VDG) members deployed in vulnerable locations, they said.
