Srinagar, April 26 -- Police have urged the general public to actively utilize the services of Emergency Response Support System (ERSS)-112 for immediate assistance in case of any emergency.

The ERSS helpline 112 is a 24x7 integrated emergency service, providing prompt response for incidents such as accidents, law & order situations, medical emergencies, fire incidents, and distress calls, including those involving women and children, a police spokesperson said

He said the helpline system is manned by professional call takers, including trained women staff, to effectively assist and support members of the society in distress.
