Srinagar, Aug. 14 -- Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Thursday chaired a high-level security review meeting at Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir to assess preparedness for Independence Day celebrations across Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by senior officers of J&K Police, CRPF, BSF, SSB and other security agencies, including IGPs, DIGs, district SSPs and heads of various police wings.

Reviewing the security scenario, the DGP stressed heightened alertness, intelligence-based operations and prompt response mechanisms to maintain a robust security grid. He directed officers to ensure effective deployment of personnel, enhanced area domination and close coordination among security agencies.
