Srinagar, June 27 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police chief Nalin Prabhat on Friday reviewed the security and logistical preparedness for the upcoming annual Amarnath Yatra.

Prabhat chaired a comprehensive security review meeting of Jammu Zone at PCR Kashmir here to review the security and logistical preparedness for the Yatra which begins on July 3.

The meeting was attended by senior officers of police, the Army, CRPF, CISF and the SSB, a police spokesman said.

At the outset, the DGP took a comprehensive review of the prevailing security scenario and the preparedness of all agencies involved in ensuring the peaceful conduct of the Yatra, he said.
