SRINAGAR, Oct. 14 -- Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir Nalin Prabhat on Tuesday directed police officers to intensify intelligence-based operations, strengthen border security and improve operational preparedness across the Union Territory.

Prabhat issued the directions while chairing an operational review meeting in hybrid mode at Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir to assess the prevailing security situation and strengthen the professional competence and readiness of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Senior officers briefed the DGP on operational preparedness, recent security developments, intelligence-gathering measures and steps being taken to maintain peace and security across J&K.
