Delegations raise tourism, development and handloom issues with LG
SRINAGAR, Oct. 7 -- Several delegations and individuals called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday and raised issues related to religious tourism, local development and the promotion of the handloom sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
Ravinder Pandita, chairman of the Save Sharda Committee and president of the All India Kashmiri Samaj, met the Lieutenant Governor and discussed matters related to the development of the Maa Sharda Temple at Teetwal along the Line of Control in Kupwara district. He was accompanied by Mahaveer Thusoo.
Pandita also raised issues concerning border and religious tourism and sought enhancement of pilgrim facilities, including the establishment of a Yatri Niwas at Teetwal. He informed the Lieutenant Governo...
