Jammu, April 30 -- The Jammu and Kashmir State Election Commission has extended the deadline for filing claims and objections for the revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls 2026 to May 5, 2026.

According to an official communication, the extension has been granted following requests from several districts. The revision is being carried out with April 1, 2026 as the qualifying date and is in continuation of the Commission's earlier notification issued on March 25.

Under the revised schedule, claims and objections related to addition, deletion, correction, or transposition in the electoral rolls can be submitted from March 27 to May 5.
