KULGAM, Oct. 21 -- Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Shahzad Alam on Wednesday directed officials to conduct an audit of Ziyarat Shareef Chimmer and its associated assets, with findings to be made public to ensure transparency and accountability.
The directions were issued during a meeting convened to review the management of the shrine, a religious and historical site associated with Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani, popularly known as Sheikh-ul-Aalam and Nund Rishi.
The review covered the shrine's allied institutions and assets, including Darul Uloom Chimmer, Madrasa Hanfia Noor-ul-Aloom and Government High School Chimmer.
