ANANTNAG, Sept. 26 -- Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, on Saturday called on young people to actively participate in sports and stay away from drug abuse, saying greater involvement in constructive activities can help build discipline, confidence and social responsibility.
The Deputy Commissioner made the remarks while attending the final of the BPL-6 Cricket Tournament at Nilandrusu Cricket Ground in Bijbehara.
Addressing players and spectators, Bhat said sports play an important role in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being and a positive outlook among youth. He encouraged students and aspiring sportspersons to make full use of opportunities available to them and pursue their goals with dedication.
