Srinagar, Aug. 21 -- Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Thursday reviewed the progress of renewable energy initiatives and emerging green-energy policies in Jammu and Kashmir, directing departments to ensure coordinated and time-bound implementation of key projects.
Chairing a meeting of the Science and Technology Department, Dulloo called for completion of a district-wise biomass survey and identification of suitable government land for creation of a centralised Green Land Bank.
He said J&K has immense potential in solar, hydro, wind and biomass resources and stressed the need to convert this potential into viable projects that can strengthen energy security, generate employment and support sustainable development.
