CS reviews plan to boost handicraft exports to Rs.2,000 crore by 2030
Srinagar, Sept. 17 -- Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Thursday reviewed a newly framed Action Plan for promotion of handicraft and handloom exports, aimed at increasing Jammu and Kashmir's textile and apparel exports from the current Rs.800 crore to Rs.2,000 crore by 2030.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Vikramjit Singh; directors of Handicrafts and Handloom for Kashmir and Jammu; Managing Director of J&K Handicrafts (Sales and Exports) Corporation; Director of the Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT); representatives of NIFT and other officials.
