Srinagar, Oct. 1 -- Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Thursday released a book on the life and legacy of Swami Lakshmanjoo, the noted 20th-century exponent of Kashmir Shaivism, during a visit to the historic Ishwar Ashram at Ishber, Nishat.
The book chronicles the life, teachings and contributions of Swami Lakshmanjoo (1907-1991), who is widely regarded as one of the foremost modern scholars of Kashmir Shaivism.
Speaking on the occasion, Dulloo said the teachings and contributions of spiritual scholars such as Swami Lakshmanjoo form an important part of Jammu and Kashmir's intellectual and cultural heritage and should be documented for future generations.
