Srinagar, Oct. 3 -- What happens when professors spend more time managing paperwork than creating knowledge? This is becoming an uncomfortable question for higher education. In many universities, faculty members are increasingly loaded with meetings, committees, reports, events, documentation and routine administrative assignments, leaving limited time for teaching, research and student mentoring. The irony is difficult to ignore: those hired to educate the next generation and advance knowledge are increasingly being used to perform tasks that could often be handled by dedicated administrative staff.
