SRINAGAR, Sept. 26 -- A court in Srinagar has declined to grant interim relief seeking deferment of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) scheduled to be held in Jammu on September 27.
The order was passed by 2nd Additional District Judge Srinagar, Naushad Ahmad Khan, on Saturday while hearing an application filed under Section 151 of the Code of Civil Procedure seeking postponement of the AGM notified by JKCA on September 6.
The application was moved in a pending civil suit filed by Javed Ahmad Kitab, who has claimed to be the elected president of the association. The suit relates to disputes over his alleged suspension, the constitution and functioning of the Apex Council and the appointmen...
