REASI, Aug. 28 -- Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Tariq Hameed Karra on Thursday ruled out the possibility of the Congress joining the Omar Abdullah-led government, saying the party would not become part of the administration until statehood is restored to Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to reporters after addressing a joining programme organised by the District Congress Committee (DCC) Reasi, Karra said the Congress had taken a principled stand on the restoration of statehood and other constitutional rights and that the party's position remained unchanged.
