SRINAGAR, June 24 -- A meeting of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation was held at the Assembly Secretariat on Tuesday under the chairmanship of its Chairman and MLA, Muzaffar Iqbal Khan.
Members of the Committee, including legislators Hilal Akbar Lone, Dr Bharat Bhushan, Peerzada Feroze Ahmad, Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh and Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Muzaffar Iqbal Khan highlighted the role of the Committee in scrutinising subordinate legislation and ensuring that rules framed by various departments remain consistent with the provisions and intent of the parent legislation.
