Srinagar, March 5 -- Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday met with religious leaders and civil society members here to discuss the situation arising in the wake of the killing of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a US-Israel airstrike, following which the participants collectively appealed for peace.

The meeting also condemned the killing of Khamenei and offered prayers and condolences, an official press release informed.
