Centre asks states to nominate civil servants for knowledge-sharing program at Statue of Unity
New Delhi, June 5 -- The Centre has asked states and Union Territories to nominate senior and junior civil servants for a structured mentorship and knowledge-sharing interactions at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, officials said on Thursday.
The move came following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's observation during the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December, 2025 at NITI Aayog here.
Modi, in his closing remarks, asked "the earlier batches of IAS and other services to motivate the younger groups by visiting the Statue of Unity and spending a day with them each year on October 31".
