Srinagar, May 10 -- Continuing the crackdown against illicit narcotic cultivation under the Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, the Central Kashmir Excise Range on Saturday destroyed illegal poppy cultivation at multiple locations across Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal districts.

The drive was carried out under the leadership of Excise Commissioner Vaibhav Kohli and under the supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive) Kashmir, Tabassum Shafat Kamili.

Officials said the anti-narcotics operation was conducted jointly by the Excise Department in collaboration with the Police, Revenue and Agriculture departments across the Srinagar-Budgam-Ganderbal Excise Range.
