Meerut, Oct. 10 -- Bhupender Singh Bajwa was unanimously elected president of the Wushu Association of India (WAI) for the 2026-2030 term, while Suhel Ahmed was elected general secretary during the association's elections held at Godwin Hotel in Meerut on Thursday.
Vijay Saraf was elected senior vice president and Bhavneet Handoo vice president. The elections were conducted by an electoral officer appointed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS), in accordance with the prescribed guidelines and governance provisions, the association said.
The Wushu Association of Jammu and Kashmir congratulated Saraf, its president, and Handoo, its general secretary, on their election to key positions in the national body.
