JAMMU, Sept. 11 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday said it arrested an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) posted at Police Post Talwara in Reasi district after allegedly catching him accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.

According to the ACB, ASI Talib Hussain was arrested during a trap operation conducted in connection with a case registered under FIR No. 08/2026 at the ACB Police Station, Udhampur, under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

The Bureau said Hussain, who was serving as the investigating officer in a case, had allegedly demanded illegal gratification from a complainant in return for presenting a charge sheet against accused persons before a court.
