Kargil, Sept. 1 -- More than 150 young athletes participated in the ASMITA Wushu City League competitions held separately in Leh and Kargil this month, providing a platform for emerging players to showcase their talent.

The Kargil edition of the league was held from August 29 to 30 and witnessed the participation of around 90 athletes from different blocks of the district. The event was organised under the aegis of the Wushu Association of India and conducted locally by the Wushu Association of Ladakh.

Nutritionist Bilques Fatima attended the closing function as chief guest and encouraged athletes to focus on fitness, nutrition and healthy lifestyles to excel in sports.
