SRINAGAR, Sept. 16 -- The Army's Kilo Force organised a community outreach programme for members of the Gujjar and Bakkarwal community in Sultanpur Kandi, Bandibala, on September 15, officials said.

The programme focused on education, skill development and awareness about government welfare schemes. Army officials interacted with children, youth, elders and community leaders to discuss local issues and opportunities related to education and employment.

As part of the event, solar lights were distributed among families living in dhoks (seasonal shelters) to facilitate study and other household activities, officials said.
