Srinagar, June 8 -- Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on Monday expressed concern over the reported conditions at Lal Ded (LD) Hospital, Srinagar, and urged the government to take immediate measures to improve maternal healthcare facilities at the institution.
In a statement, the party said reports of overcrowding and shortage of beds at the hospital were a matter of concern, particularly for pregnant women and new mothers seeking treatment and care.
The party alleged that some patients were being compelled to share beds due to inadequate accommodation and increasing patient load, a situation it said affects patient comfort, dignity and overall healthcare standards.
