Srinagar, Aug. 24 -- Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday urged the administration to ensure adequate arrangements for the smooth and peaceful observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
In a statement, Bukhari called on the authorities to make all necessary preparations in advance to avoid inconvenience to devotees and the general public during the occasion.
He stressed the need for uninterrupted electricity and drinking water supply, besides adequate transport facilities to facilitate the movement of devotees to shrines, mosques and other congregational venues.
Bukhari also sought special attention to sanitation and cleanliness at places expected to witness large gatherings and congregational prayers.
