Baramulla, April 4 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau has filed a chargesheet against former Naib Tehsildar Uri Altaf Hussain Khan and Patwari Halqa Uri Pardeep Kumar in a bribery case registered at Police Station ACB Baramulla.

The chargesheet was presented before the Special Judge, Anti-Corruption Court, Baramulla, in connection with FIR No. 12/2024.

According to the ACB, a resident of Uri had approached the Tehsil office in September 2023 seeking revenue documents relating to a 10-marla piece of land on which he had constructed a house.

The complainant alleged that the two officials demanded a bribe of Rs.10 lakh, which was later negotiated down to Rs.1 lakh, in return for furnishing the required report and documents. ...
