Srinagar, Aug. 18 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed a charge-sheet against 10 accused persons, including seven officials of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) and three private individuals, in connection with an alleged illegal construction case in Batamallo area of Srinagar.
According to the ACB, the charge-sheet was filed before the Court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Srinagar, in FIR No. 06/2023 registered at Police Station ACB Srinagar under provisions of the J&K Prevention of Corruption Act, Ranbir Penal Code (RPC), the J&K State Lands (Vesting of Ownership to the Occupants) Act, and the Evacuees (Administration of Property) Act.
