ACB books AEE for disproportionate assets
Jammu, May 23 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a disproportionate assets case against an assistant executive engineer in the hydraulic sub-division in Kishtwar district, officials said.
According to the ACB, a case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The case was registered following a verification conducted by the ACB's Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban wing into allegations that Assistant Executive Engineer Ashiq Hussain Rather had amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, they said.
Officials said the verification revealed that the accused was allegedly in possession of substantial movable and immovable assets in his own name and in the names of his family members.
