JAMMU, Nov. 8 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday sanctioned a 5 per cent annual increment for eligible contractual employees working under the National Health Mission (NHM) for the financial year 2026-27.

Minister for Health and Medical Education Sakeena Itoo said the decision fulfilled the government's commitment to NHM contractual employees and recognised their dedication and contribution to strengthening healthcare delivery across the Union Territory.

"As promised by the government, a five per cent annual increment has been sanctioned for eligible contractual employees engaged under the NHM, J&K, for FY 2026-27," Itoo said in a post on X.
