In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the launch of the world's first Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) in 2006, the Japan Patent Office (JPO) held the PPH 20th Anniversary Forum on June 12, 2026 in a hybrid format. The forum was a side event of the meeting of the Heads of the IP5 Offices, which consist of the Patent Offices in Japan, Europe, Korea, China, and the United States, and IP5 Industry.
