THE JPO HOLDS BILATERAL MEETINGS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 19TH IP5 HEADS OF OFFICE MEETING

TOKYO, July 8 -- Japan Patent Office issued the following news:

On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Commissioner KASAI and Deputy Commissioner YASUDA, in conjunction with their participation in the 19th IP5 Heads of Office Meeting, met with representatives from three IP offices and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). They confirmed the continuation of ongoing cooperation in intellectual property administration with the IP offices, as well as with the WIPO.

※The three offices are the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Ministry of Intellectual Property (MOIP), listed in the order of the meetings.
