TOKYO, April 9 -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan issued the following news release:

On April 9, in Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) on the Establishment of a Joint Credit Mechanism (JCM) was signed between Mr. SERIZAWA Kiyoshi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman, and H.E. Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals of the Sultanate of Oman.

Through the JCM with the Sultanate of Oman, Japan will contribute to the achievement of the nationally determined contribution (NDC) of both countries by cooperating in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the Sultanate of Oman and will work toward the decarbonization of the world...
