TOKYO, May 2 -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan issued the following news release:
On May 2, commencing at 8:45 p.m. (May 3, 2:45 a.m. Japan time) for 20 minutes, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, during his visit to Kenya, held a telephone call, at the request of the Iranian side, with H.E. Dr. Seyyed Abbas ARAGHCHI, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
At the outset, Foreign Minister Araghchi explained the current situation and the future outlook, including the exchanges between the U.S. and Iran.
